Important: This policy describes the current Dayrun product direction. It should be reviewed by qualified counsel before a public commercial launch.

This Privacy Policy explains how Dayrun ("Dayrun", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and deletes personal information when parents or guardians use our website and family school-planning service.

1. Information we collect

Account details such as your name, email address and sign-in provider.
Family information you provide, including children's first names, schools, grades, activities and household roles.
School communications and calendar information made available through an account you choose to connect.
Service information such as device type, security logs and basic usage data needed to operate and protect Dayrun.

2. How we use information

We use information to identify school-related messages, extract dates and instructions, organise family schedules, maintain current school calendars, assign responsibilities, provide support, prevent abuse and improve the reliability of the service.

3. Email and calendar access

Dayrun is designed to request limited, read-only access. We do not use connected-account permissions to send, modify or delete your email. We do not read unrelated communications for advertising.

4. Children's information

Dayrun accounts are intended to be created and managed by adults. A parent or guardian must have the authority to provide information about a child. Dayrun is not intended for children to create independent accounts.

5. Sharing and service providers

We may use carefully selected providers for hosting, authentication, email connectivity, security and support. They may process information only to provide those services. We do not sell personal information or school-derived information and do not use it for targeted advertising.

6. Retention

We retain information only while needed to provide the service, meet security and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Expired calendars and superseded school documents may be removed automatically according to their expected relevance. Account deletion is handled as described on our deletion page.

7. Security

We use access controls, encryption in transit and operational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of family information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. More information is available on our Security page.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, restrict, export or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can disconnect a connected account and contact us to exercise applicable rights.

9. International processing

Service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we will use appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as Dayrun develops. We will change the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how information is used.
